Light Gauge Framing Systems (LGFS)

About the product

Steel is extensively used in the construction of multi-storey buildings. However, its application in landed properties is still relatively limited and is often considered less economical by traditional standards. In many regions across the world, materials such as timber, brickwork, and reinforced concrete continue to be the preferred choice for such constructions. Nevertheless, it is undeniable that steel represents the future of sustainable construction. Over time, several advanced systems have been developed specifically for landed properties. One such solution is the light gauge steel frame system, which is rapidly gaining popularity in countries like the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. This system is manufactured using a cold-formed process that does not involve heat, allowing the production of lightweight yet high tensile strength steel sheets. These sheets are coated with a zinc alloy layer that fully protects the surface from corrosion, resulting in structures that are stronger, more rigid, durable, and easier to construct.

LGFS members are manufactured from cold-formed galvanized steel profiles and are produced using advanced software integrated with automated machine control systems sourced from leading global technology providers. Invogue LGFS is highly suitable for projects where speed, reliability, and flexibility are essential. Each component is precisely formed, cut, punched, dimpled, and labeled, making it ready for quick “screw-together” assembly. Once delivered to the site, the components can be assembled efficiently as per architectural drawings by simply connecting wall frames and floor joists and securing them with self-tapping screws. The spaces within the frame are filled with thermal insulation materials, and the structure is finished with surface layers made from various materials, creating a strong and efficient layered system.

Turning Your Ideas Into Real-World Solutions

Customized Approaches for Every Requirement

Steel is widely used in the construction of multi-storey buildings. However, steel construction is seldom used and is traditionally considered uneconomical for landed properties. In many parts of the world, timber, brickwork and reinforced concrete construction is usually preferred for landed properties. There is no denying the fact that steel is the future of sustainable construction. Over the years, various improved systems have been developed for use in landed properties. An economical light gauge steel frame system is increasingly being used in America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. This light gauge steel frame is developed through a cold-formed process without the use of heat. This process enables steel manufacturers to produce light-weight but high tensile steel sheets. The sheet surface is coated with a zinc alloy that completely covers the steel surface and seals it from the corrosive action of its environment. This results in buildings that are more solid, rigid, stronger, durable and easier to build.
